Starting a business in NZ

plantNew Zealand is recognised as one of the easiest countries in the world in which to start a business.

Our deregulated economy means there is less paperwork and it takes less time than it can elsewhere to get a business started.

The Government and New Zealand business recognise the importance of skilled migrants not just to the companies already here, but also as a pathway to new markets overseas.

If you have a good idea and great attitude, you will be in good company here.
A range of organisations offer assistance in aspects of business capability, including business planning, business mentors, and opportunities for financial assistance.

Before you start a business there are many things to consider. We recommend that you visit www.business.govt.nz which is a government website for New Zealand businesses.

The website is maintained by the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment (MBIE) to support the development and growth of business in New Zealand.
